Our Story

The Silk Space is a Canadian bedding and sleepwear brand based in Richmond, British Columbia. Our collection includes silk pillowcases, sleepwear and accessories, silk duvets, lyocell bedding and gift sets.

Our founder grew up in an Asian family in Malaysia, with silk bedding and silk-filled duvets as familiar companions to sleep. Their softness was part of childhood, as ordinary and comforting as being tucked in at night. Only later, far from home, would those small details come to mean so much.

After moving to Canada with their parents, our founder found life filled with unfamiliar places, different seasons and new routines. A new home slowly took shape, yet the comfort remembered from childhood remained difficult to find. The memory lingered: the feel of familiar bedding, the quiet ease of settling into bed, the sense of being somewhere you belonged.

The Silk Space began with a wish to find that feeling again—and to share it. A deeply personal attachment to silk became the starting point for a collection shaped around comfort, care and the pleasure of feeling at home.

Today, those beginnings guide what we choose. Fabrics that feel lovely against the skin. Colours you want to live with. Bedding, sleepwear and gifts that find their place in everyday life and become more familiar with every use.
