Silk Duvet Care: Check the Label First

A silk-filled duvet insert and its removable cover are different items. Follow the sewn-in care label on each one separately. A cover that can be washed does not mean the filled insert can be washed the same way.

Protecting the duvet

Use a removable cover that fits the insert, and clean the cover according to its own label. Keep the insert dry and follow its label for airing and storage.

Spills and stains

Blot fresh liquid gently with a clean cloth. Avoid rubbing or soaking the filling. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, spot-treat with detergent, or dry clean the insert unless its own care label permits that method. If the label is missing or the stain is extensive, ask a qualified textile cleaner or contact The Silk Space before cleaning.

Storage

Store the insert only when fully dry. Use the storage method on its label and avoid long-term heavy compression.
